Here you can see the basis for the modular kit of architecture and scenery objects for use in a science fiction game set in a grungy future. The kit was based upon modeling techniques and practices described by Bethesda Game Studios in an interview where they detailed how they constructed the levels for Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.

FUECAN Ship Pt. 2
The basic architecture of the level is constructed out of T-intersections, but floor modules, lights, and the inset pieces in the walls - pipes, power cables, portholes, etc - are all modular pieces that snap into place on an easy 3 unit grid.

FUECAN Ship Pt. 3
Extra components, like these crates of ammunition and powered carts, help to construct guiding features in the level while also providing visual interest and story vignettes in the final build.
